Questions
How
can I become a member?
It’s
easy. All you need to do, is go to the new
member registration fill out a quick form, and hit the submit
button at the bottom of the form. Your new member confirmation will
be emailed to you immediately. Once this is complete, you’re on your
way to trying new products and influencing products being developed
to meet your interests and lifestyle. You’ll also be instantly eligible
to enter into contests and surveys while earning valuable member points,
which can be redeemed for rewards
Does
it ever cost me anything to join?
No, in
fact you receive incentives for participating with Trialsize. You
may wish to purchase products from companies, which have given you
special offers or samples, but these transactions take place independently
of Trialsize.
What
if I need to change my address, e-mail address, etc?
Simply log
onto the update my profile page, enter
your user name and password and you may change any information you may previously
have entered. This helps us to better serve you when we have updated information
in your profile.
What
if I can’t remember my password?
There are several
ways to retrieve your password. First, you can refer to your hint, such
as your first pet’s name. Also, by visiting the member
registration area on our welcome page and
you can opt to have your password sent to you by email. If you use multiple
email addresses, be sure to use the one you used to sign up with because
that’s where the password is sent.
What
do you do with the information I provide you?
The information
we receive from each of our members is stored in our proprietary database.
The information is used to determine which of our members is most
likely to be interested in participating in a product study. This
information will be used to make our future marketing efforts more
efficient and with your permission, it may also be used by our marketing
partners to bring you offers of interest. Please refer to our privacy
policy for more detail.
If
I live outside of the United States, can I still participate?
Yes.
Some manufacturers are interested in learning more about our members
outside of the United States. In addition, members who live outside
of the United States are always eligible to participate in contests,
and access content throughout Trialsize. Please note however, that
all monetary prizes awarded to members are granted in US dollars.
I
received an error message when I tried to register.
If you
entered a comma or colon or period, etc. after or between information
in the registration fields, you’ll see a message with “syntax error”
in it appear on you window. Another possibility, although rare, is
the Internet server may be experiencing technical difficulty. In this
case you may see a message stating that a page cannot be displayed.
If you are still having trouble registering, please contact us at
customer care
and a specialist will reply by email to assist you within 24 hours.
How
do I cancel my membership?
If at any
time you wish to cancel your membership on Trialsize, simply send an
email to our customer
care department stating your intention. You will be notified
with a confirmation within 24 hours that your membership has been cancelled.
Contests
/ Surveys / Product Studies / Member Rewards Programs
How
often can I participate in a contest?
You may participate
in any single contest only one time, but you may participate in every contest
available on your screen. Simply go to the contests
area to participate and earn valuable member rewards.
How
do I know if I was a contest winner?
All contest
winners are notified by email. Winners have two weeks to claim their
prizes. When you are notified, you are asked to confirm receipt of
the email, along with notification of prize acceptance by replying
to the original email sent to you. Information displayed to those who request winner information
will be member initials, city and state (for example, B.L. of Hartford,
CT is the winner of a $50 gift certificate). In order to protect your
privacy, we will not publish full names or personal contact information.
How
long does it take to complete a survey?
Surveys
should take no more than about 10 or 15 minutes to complete. Some
surveys take a little longer than others. Trialsize recognizes the
fact that we’re fortunate to have you as a member and that your time
is valuable. With that in mind, the longer surveys will normally credit
your member rewards balance with higher point totals than shorter
surveys.
Is
there any way for me to be notified about new surveys?
Yes.
As our members participate in various contests, they become eligible
to participate in surveys. Survey participants will be invited by
email.
How
often can I participate in a product study?
Product
study participants are chosen based upon responses to the survey questions.
Manufacturers have a tendency to choose product study participants
for a variety of different reasons, for example, to reach their target
customers. Other times they want to reach people who don’t appreciate
their products. Sometimes members try to answer questions the way
they think they should, instead of expressing their true opinions.
Unfortunately, the manufacturers may have been looking for something
other than what seemed to be implied throughout the survey questions.
Being honest with your answers is the best way to increase your odds
of being selected for a product study.
How
do I receive product samples?
Different product
manufacturers may have different mailing requirements. Once you’ve qualified
to participate in a product study, a sample of the product is sent to the
address you registered on your member registration
form. If you need to update your profile, simply visit the update
my profile section on the welcome page.
Did
you receive my survey?
Once
you’ve completed a survey, click on the submit button at the bottom
of the page and a screen will pop up thanking you for participating.
This screen verifies that we have received your survey and that your
member points are being credited to your member rewards balance.
What
are member points used for?
Trialsize
continually reviews the member rewards program to provide you the
best possible rewards program. Currently, your member rewards can
be used to enter you into grand prize drawings, held once a year.
This provides ample time for all of our members to build their rewards
balances. Our grand prize winners have the opportunity to either select
the prize shown as our grand prize or take the cash equivalent.
How
do I redeem my member points?
Under
our current member rewards program, your points are used to participate
in Grand Prize drawings. Members whose point balances have reached
a certain number will automatically be entered into the grand prize
drawing. In time, we’ll offer new ways to redeem your points with
other reward programs. Please check this site regularly for announcements
about our new programs.
What
is an online panel group?
You’ve
probably heard the term “focus group” before. An online panel group
is an Internet-based focus group where you participate in the comfort
and convenience of your home. Members who are invited to participate
in these online panel groups are asked a series of questions through
a chat room forum. Led by professional moderators, programs are fun
and interesting. Results from the panel study are published for all
participants to review. these groups honor the rights of members who
are invited to participate [such as? Is it just profanity? I took
that out because it started looking un-fun]. Participants who violate
the rights of other members will not be invited to return to Trialsize.
How
do I participate in an online panel group?
You will
be invited to participate based upon your responses to surveys, which
are regularly posted on Trialsize. When you are invited to participate
in an online panel group, you are emailed instructions and a private
web address designated exclusively for panel group participants.
How
long does it take to receive a sample?
Depending
upon the manufacturer’s requirements, you’ll receive a sample within
3 weeks—and generally you’ll receive it within a couple days. After
completing a contest some members are invited to receive a sample
product. This sample product is sent with the anticipation that the
recipient will participate in a follow up product survey. If you have
replied to an email invitation and still have not received the sample
after 3 weeks, please contact our customer
care department right away. Our delivery methods vary based
upon manufacturer requirements.
How
long does it take to receive a prize?
You are
notified by email when you win. This email states your name, the contest
you’ve won, and requests confirmation by asking a simple question
from your member profile. If you believe you may have won but didn’t
receive an email, please contact our customer
care department. Winners have 2 weeks to reply to the email.
Prizes are mailed within one week of confirmation.
I
didn’t receive my product sample, was it sent?
We use
USPS CASS certified software to verify the address of our members.
If the CASS software did not recognize your address, there may be
a delay in getting the product sample to you. If your address has
been flagged as invalid, we will contact you by email to let you know.
This can happen for a variety of reasons (for example, you may have
moved into a new development that is not yet listed in the USPS database).
Quarterly updates are made for this software, so it may only be a
short-term concern. If the problem persists, we will make every effort
to see that you receive those products you’ve requested.
